ABOUT BALLYMENA CRICKET CLUB

Ballymena Cricket Club is a section of Ballymena Rugby Club with whom we share the ground and facilities at Eaton Park.

The club operates four adult teams and teams at every junior age group. Adult nets are held throughout the summer from 6.30pm on Tuesday evenings for 1st/2nd XI squad and Monday evenings for 3rd/4th XI squad. Thursday evening is club night for all players.  We always welcome new players to the club. If you are interested in playing, simply come along to one of the sessions or contact any of the club contacts.

Anyone interested in playing junior cricket can contact the Youth Convener for the details of junior sessions.

We are also always looking for parents willing to assist with coaching at a junior level.  No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a little bit of spare time!  Again, please contact the Chairman or the Youth Convenor if you are interested.

CLUB NEWS

The club runs four adult teams within the Northern Cricket Union:

The 1st XI plays in Section 1 of the Robinson Services League and competes in the NCU Challenge Cup and Twenty20 Trophy and the Irish National Cup.

The 2nd XI plays in NCU Junior League 3 and competes in the NCU Intermediate Cup.

The 3rd XI plays in NCU Junior League 6 and competes in the Minor (Lindsay) Cup.

The 4th XI plays in NCU Junior League 8 and competes in the Minor Qualifying Cup.

Practice sessions are held on Monday and Thursday evenings at 6.30 p.m. throughout the season.

We are always on the lookout for new players at all levels.  From current players to those considering resuming their cricketing careers after a lengthy absence, you will be given a warm welcome at Eaton Park.  Simply come along to one of the practice nights or contact any of the club contacts.

FIXTURES & RESULTS

The club runs teams at under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 17 levels and caters for all levels of abilities from the absolute beginner and beyond.  We are always keen to develop young talent and have a long tradition of bringing young players through junior cricket and on to success in senior cricket.

If you want to play purely for fun or aspire to representative honours, come along to Eaton Park and join in.

U11 practice takes place on Tuesday evenings, starting 1st May. U13 and U15 practice is held on Wednesday evenings from 2nd May.

Both sessions start at 6.30 pm and finish at approx 8.00 pm. Please bring along the registration form which can be found in the Membership page.

All players are required to join the club by completing the relevant registration form.

There are separate forms for Adults and Juniors and reduced membership fees for u18s, students and unemployed people.
