Ballymena 3s won their penultimate game of the season after a tight fought victory over Queens at Eaton Park on Saturday.
With the league title still a mathematical possibility for the young Ballymena side a win was critical leading into a crunch game with Enniskillen next week.
However the game was a much tighter affair than hoped as Ballymena never really found their rhythm against a dogged queens team.
The moment which separated the two teams was a superb individual effort for schoolboy Justin mark, catching a goal line restart and leaving defenders in his wake to touch down. Robbie Coleman added the conversion and a late penalty to secure the win with a final score of 10-8 to the braidmen.
The victory was overshadowed by a serious knee injury to Ballymena fly half Finlay Walker. Everyone at the the club wishes him the best for a speedy recovery.
