Ballymena WXV played Clogher Valley in the Suzanne Fleming Cup Final at Kingspan on 15/03.
A physical match-up against Clogher Valley and they didn’t let up for the full 80 mins, but neither did our WXV. Relentless carries and metres made to punch holes through their defence, while also making crunching tackles to stop Clogher Valley getting through easily.
Katie McNeill scored the only try for Ballymena, making an impact off the bench, with a powerful pick-and-go from Clogher Valley’s 5m line. Unfortunately for our WXV, the result didn’t go our way today, with the match finishing 65-5.
An amazing day and achievement for our 1st WXV to reach the final, showing their hard work and dedication to get here.
