Ballymena/Inishowen produced a stunning second-half performance to defeat Letterkenny 53-17 in the Ulster U18 Shield Semi-Final, booking their place in the final in style. What began as a tightly contested match turned into a one-sided affair after halftime, as Ballymena/Inishowen showcased their attacking prowess and defensive resilience.

 
The opening half was a fiercely competitive encounter, with both teams trading blows and demonstrating their determination to reach the final. Letterkenny started brightly, matching Ballymena/Inishowen’s intensity and keeping the scoreboard ticking. The teams went into the break level at 17-17, with the match finely poised for an exciting second half.
 
The second half was a completely different story, as Ballymena/Inishowen came out with renewed energy and focus. They quickly took control of the game, dominating possession and territory. Their attacking play was relentless, and they capitalised on every opportunity, scoring try after try.
 
Letterkenny struggled to contain the onslaught, as Ballymena/Inishowen’s defence held firm, preventing any response from their opponents. The team scored an incredible 36 unanswered points in the second half, showcasing their clinical finishing and teamwork.
