Ballymena U18s got their pre-season off to the perfect start with two wins out of two in their September friendlies v Coleraine Grammar and BHSFP RFC.
In the first game v Coleraine Grammar the forwards dominated with tries from number 8 Tyrese Dunlop, hooker Ben Millar, second row James Lynn and front rows Ndaba Mabhena and Timmy McNambney.
The second game v BHSFP was more of an open affair and the backs took their turn to get onto the scoreboard with a hattrick for centre Alfie Logan and 2 tries for wing Harry Young, along with an eye catching solo try from full back James Orr.
The team will look forward to their first competitive game v Ballymoney next week.
The U14s have also warmed up well for the coming league campaign with a win over Carrick RFC on 14 September and a spirited display in a defeat to Cambridge House Grammar School on 21 September with Hayden Rhodes and Bobby Munis snacking tries for the home team.
